Whose Worth and Dignity?

Our first Unitarian Universalist Principle calls on us to “affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person.” We love this principle. It strikes at the heart of who we are and our belief that people come first and that everyone has value and agency. Like all our principles, this one can be very challenging, though, to put into practice when we encounter the ways we have learned to value people differently.
